We offer free activities, workshops and courses every month

At Compassion Acts, we are dedicated not only to addressing the symptoms of poverty but also to tackling its root causes. Our holistic approach ensures that we work closely with each client, aiming for them to leave our services in a better state than when they first arrived. One effective strategy we’ve identified is enhancing social wellbeing throughout the community. That’s why we offer a variety of social wellbeing activities every month, inviting everyone to participate.

Poverty manifests in many ways, including lack of access to services, loneliness and isolation, and the absence of a support network. We are committed to doing everything we can to combat these challenges.

Victoria Centre

Each month we have a calendar full of free events and workshops happening at our headquarters, the Victoria Centre. All of our activities are designed to help you improve your wellbeing; whether by relaxing, learning something new or meeting people. Everyone is welcome to attend, we just ask that you book a place.

To book on for any of our workshops call 01704 264505 or email office@compassionacts.uk For an updated activities calendar please click here.

Community Hub

The Community Hub hosts drop-in sessions every week, as well as pop up surgeries and advice sessions from partner organisations.

Designed as an ideal place for finding out what support is available or how to get involved with the charity, all in a convenient town centre location. No appointment is needed to join in any of the activities at the Community Hub and you do not need to call ahead.

Family Space

Family Space is an after school club for children and their parents or carers, running from our partner Church, St Peter’s Birkdale. Families are invited to come and enjoy fun games and activites in a welcoming and safe environment, plus everyone is provided with a hot meal and drinks.

In 2023 we also piloted our Family Space Xtra half term events. A day of fun for the whole family, with lunch included – designed to take the pressure off parents throughout the holidays.
