Foodbank is for anyone who is in financial crisis and not able to afford food, regardless of their circumstances. It doesn’t matter if you work full time, part time, claim benefits or none of these things. We help people from all different walks of life and for all different reasons.

Absolutely not! We know that the reasons people come to the Foodbank are usually out of their control and can happen to anyone. Our staff and volunteers are all friendly and non judgemental; they just want to help.

If you’ve tried to get a referral and not been able to – for example the agency who usually refers you is shut or you’re not able to contact them – you can self refer and we’ll issue you a voucher directly. Please do try to contact us before turning up at a session so we can make sure we can help you before you make the journey.

We will always try to offer you support around the reason you are coming to the Foodbank (such as benefits or debt advice). But we will never force you to do anything, or give us any information you don’t want to share. Anything you do tell our staff or volunteers is completely confidential.

Yes. Although there is usually a limit to how many parcels we can give a person in a certain time, we will never refuse to help anyone who is in need. If you are struggling, speak to whoever usually refers you or contact us.
