Who we are

Compassion Acts is a Southport-based charity working to reduce poverty and improve social wellbeing across Southport and the surrounding areas. We support individuals and families who need help with food, money advice, and overall wellbeing. Our services include Foodbanks, Food Pantries, free courses and workshops plus we have a dedicated team of welfare advisors who help people access the financial support they are entitled to.

Originally established as Southport Foodbank in 2013, we have grown into the all-encompassing charity we are today, responding to a wide range of needs within our community. Our aim is that everyone who engages with our services leaves in a better place than when they arrived – empowered, encouraged, and equipped with the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Our services are fully funded by the generosity of our donors and we receive no government funding.
