Compassion Acts, a Southport-based anti-poverty charity, is looking for a Community Project Support to help deliver and develop our vital community services.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the delivery of:
- Food Pantries
- Community Markets
- Warm Spaces
- Laundry Project
You will play a key role in coordinating services, supporting volunteers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring individuals receive the right support at the right time.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee Food Pantry operations and support pantry leads
- Manage referrals, registers, and local database systems
- Monitor attendance and arrange welfare calls
- Coordinate rotas and bookings for Community Markets and Warm Spaces
- Support delivery of the laundry project
- Work closely with volunteers and community members

About the Role
This rewarding role involves working directly with individuals and families to help them build independence, access services, and improve their overall well-being. You’ll collaborate with local schools, community organisations, and external services to provide holistic, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support families to build resilience and independence
- Provide advice and guidance on services and support available
- Work alongside schools and partner organisations
- Make referrals and coordinate support
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting
- Help deliver community activities and seasonal events
