Our Impact

Every week we engage with over 300 people from our community and our team works extremely hard to ensure that all visitors needs are met.

Compassion Acts is a vital lifeline for many in our community. We are constantly striving to make sure the people of Southport have somewhere to turn when they need it, whether for food, financial support, or even companionship.

The impact of our work is clear in the lives of those we support.

In 2025...

Last year was a year of significant change for the charity, with updates to staffing, structure, and services. Despite the challenges, our volunteers and staff pulled together, keeping everything running smoothly, and we achieved an excellent year of progress and impact.

"After I had a car crash and lost movement in the right side of my body, I was unable to work. I turned to Compassion Acts and they truly saved my life."

Our volunteers continue to make a difference!

Last year, over 220 dedicated volunteers gave an incredible 31,000 hours of their time to support Compassion Acts. They are the silent backbone of our charity.

With 17 projects running throughout the week across Southport, we simply could not keep our doors open without their commitment, compassion, and hard work.

Going into 2026, we have appointed a new Volunteer Ambassador to ensure our volunteers feel heard, seen and listened to, and to strengthen communication across all our projects.

We're here to listen...

The scope and impact of Compassion Acts continue to grow year on year. We are always reviewing our services to identify areas for improvement and address any gaps. As of 2025, our CEO is working on a new initiative, ‘Southport Matters’, aimed at listening to the voices of Southport residents and creating change in the areas that matter most.
