We’re part of the Sefton Councils Team Around the School (TAS)

Compassion Acts is excited to be part of Sefton Council’s Team Around the School (TAS), working alongside local schools in Southport to support families at the earliest opportunity.

We offer a range of support services, from help with Universal Credit, Child DLA, and other welfare forms, to free Warm Spaces and after-school Family Space clubs. Food Pantries are available to help provide families with weekly access to a low-cost food top up shop, including one at Bishop David Sheppard Primary School and our Uniform Hub offers affordable school uniforms for most Southport schools.

In addition, we’re currently in the process of reviewing and redeveloping our social wellbeing calendar so we can continue to provide free or low-cost courses, activities, and workshops. We have previously hosted some great events for families such as our ‘Let’s Get Cooking’ sessions, bracelet making, art classes and Family Space Xtra, all designed to bring the community together and support children and parents alike.

This partnership ensures that families receive personalised help and advice, tailored to their needs, while schools and professionals collaborate to provide the right support at the right time.
