Thank you for your prayers and support for Compassion Acts as we move into our new strategic focus of ‘Thriving Lives for all’

Below are some prayer pointers for the next 7 weeks:-

Week 1

• For families where mental ill health is a constant challenge. That there can be open hearts and minds and healing conversations.
• For the wellbeing activities of Compassion Acts such as Warm Spaces.

Week 2

• For families who experience work insecurity and an uncertain future.
• For the advice services of Compassion Acts and the family provisions such as Uniform Hub.

Week 3

• For families and all households worried about rising prices of food and other essentials in the shops.
• For the food projects of Compassion Acts and their volunteers, meeting hundreds of people each week with a generous welcome and a kind smile.

Week 4

• For political leaders and their ability to make change happen. For Sefton Council who hold important responsibilities around housing and child protection. Bless the officers who have to make difficult choices with limited resources.
• For the staff of Compassion Acts as they retain a cutting edge to deal effectively and professionally with every challenge.

Week 5

• For the churches locally and a new commitment to listening, challenging prejudice and walking alongside all people.
• For Compassion Acts work in coordinating church leaders and now fruitful conversations with other faiths.

Week 6

• For those in crisis, distress or overwhelming anxiety and all of us still processing July 2024’s events.
• For Compassion Acts and its ability to react quickly and flexibly to events with special outreach and support.

Happy Easter

•  That the tears of the garden of gethsemane give way to the joy of new life this easter. A promise fulfilled.
