We have a team of 10 staff, a board of 8 trustees and around 150 dedicated volunteers whom we could not do without. We are a Christian charity, working with people of all faiths or none.
Compassion Acts was launched in 2019, building on previous charities Southport Foodbank (started in 2013) and Southport and Formby Churches Debt Centre.
As a Christian charity, we place ourselves at the service of all people*. As Jesus did, we recognise the dignity and worth of every individual.+ We also pray constantly that God’s Kingdom will come on earth and all people will be healed, restored and given new life.^

We take safeguarding very seriously and have actions in place to ensure our staff, volunteers and people taking part in our services are all kept safe. Our safeguarding policy outlines the processes for reporting any safeguarding concerns. We also have a process for reporting any near misses or safety concerns and look to learn from experience and continually improve what we do.
