Compassion Acts is looking for volunteer drivers to help collect and deliver food across Southport, Formby and Tarleton, supporting local foodbanks, food pantries and the community markets we run.
Every week, generous donations of food are made available through supermarkets, community venues, businesses and other local organisations. Getting these donations to the places where they are needed, however, can be a challenge.
That’s where our volunteer drivers can make a real difference.
By giving some of your time to collect and deliver food, you will play an important role in helping ensure that good-quality food reaches local people and families who need it.
What do volunteer drivers do?
As a volunteer driver, you could help with tasks such as:
- Collecting food donations from supermarkets, businesses and community locations
- Delivering food to local foodbanks, food pantries and Compassion Acts community markets
- Helping to make sure food gets to the right place at the right time
- Loading and unloading food safely
- Working alongside the Compassion Acts team and other volunteers
