At Compassion Acts Southport, our community allotment is more than just a place where vegetables are grown—it’s a space where people come together to make a real difference.
Supported by a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers, we grow a variety of fresh, seasonal produce including potatoes, marrows, courgettes, green beans, and rhubarb. Every harvest is carefully prepared and distributed through our food pantries, providing local families and individuals with access to fresh, nutritious food alongside their regular pantry shopping.
The allotment helps us offer healthier food choices while reducing food waste and strengthening community connections. It also provides volunteers with the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn new gardening skills, meet new people, and contribute to a project that directly benefits others.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or have never picked up a trowel before, there’s always a warm welcome at the allotment. Every seed planted, every weed pulled, and every vegetable harvested helps support people across our community.
Together, we’re growing more than vegetables—we’re growing hope, kindness, and community.
