Compassion Acts are preparing to make a difference in the lives of those in need as the holiday season approaches. We are aware of how tough the last year has been on our community and aim to act as a ‘ray of hope’ to those who need extra support.

This year we are hosting a number of events and services to help give to those who need and spread warmth and kindness throughout Southport and surrounding areas.

Here’s a list of what’s going on and how you can participate:

Services

Throughout Winter we have a number of great activities an projects for everyone to get involved in. Check out our Christmas leaflet for more information.

All of our are services closed Saturday 23 December – Monday 1 January

However we are holding an emergency Foodbank over the Christmas period, for those who may need it. Wednesday 27 December, 1pm – 3pm at the Victoria Centre, Sussex Road. No Foodbank voucher required.

Pay It Forward

This Christmas we will be offering Aldi vouchers (orange) and Farmfoods vouchers to ensure that those who need a little extra help this year are able to access a warm roast dinner. The vouchers will be used to buy ingredients to cook a Christmas meal of choice.

Food Donations

Our shortage items are:- Jam, rice pudding, crackers, confectionary, coffee, tinned fruit, tinned meat, UHT juice/ milk, toiletries etc.

Our donation period runs up to Friday 15 December and our last intake of fresh food will be no later than the 14th December at 3pm.
